Hand-Crafted, Original Jewelry Creations by Jon Palombi
The assortment of jewelry designs presented here represent my long years of experience as a professional jeweler, beginning in May of 1984. Both a Jeweler and a Lapidary, I work with 3 colors of gold, platinum and sterling silver. The techniques I employ are: hand-fabrication, wax casting, hammer-forging and string/knitting pearls and gemstone beads. I use both precious and semi-precious gemstones for my art.
I feature diamonds, rubies, sapphires, emeralds, alexandrites, south sea pearls, opals, spinnels, tourmalines, tanzanites, etc...
However, I am not opposed to using inexpensive, more common gemstones. I love working with amethyst, iolite, garnet, jade, turquoise, lapis lazuli, malachite, sugilite and Vermont jasper and "jade". Many of the stones I cut are also mined by myself, right here in Vermont. There is no greater thrill than digging the minerals oneself, destined to become a hand-crafted piece of jewelry! Frankly, to me, it's ALL about unique, interesting forms and enticing colors.
